[consald] Help with Wendy Doniger's Book

Dear All,

An emeritus professor urgently needs to consult the index of Wendy
Doniger's now world famous book, The Hindus: an alternative history.
Unfortunately, our sole copy is at the bindery for repairs, and although I
ordered another copy last week it still has not arrived. The professor
needs to get the information by the end of the day.

That is why I am turning to you all. I would greatly appreciate it if
someone could consult the index of the book to see if Prof. Doniger cites
Allen Dundes. The email from the professor is included at the end of this
email. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Adnan.

The book in question is Wendy Doniger's THE HINDUS recently published by
Penguin in India and now banned there for its alleged anti-religious
features. There should be an English-U.S. version in the library. I simply
want to know if there is any reference in the index to Allen Dundes or
.his writings, particularly on the Qur'an and the Bible. .

Many thanks
