Re: [Consald-l] CONSALD schedule at Madison?

Aug

Hi David,

Since I book the rooms here at UW, I know a little about the schedule
(but not any agendas). LC folks have confirmed the SACAP meeting for
Thursday 10/14 from 12-1:30. I haven't had confirmation from CONSALD
folks but have booked a room just in case (the usual 2-6:00). The
Cooperative Collection Development workshop is separate from any CONSALD
and SACAP meetings and will take place on Friday so as not to overlap.

This is great Deepa! Congratulations!!! I hope CONSALDees will in future
replicate/collaborate/expand the idea in their respective regions. East
Coast will have a Bostonian flavor and West Coat a Sikh flavor, along
side the first wave of the spread of Hindu thought (Swami Vivekananda).

SA Cooperation: Access and Preservation Principles

Aug

Not all sacap-coop members are CRL members.

CRL will continue to play a role in cooperative preservation and access
through its ongoing programs (as you mention, SAMP, purchase proposals,
etc). It would be good to hear of other's opinions as to how SAMP and
other groups should play a role in this activity.
